About me:
We are dedicated to providing a safe and family oriented martial arts experience for students of all ages. At the A.M.A.C we train Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do/Mixed Martial Arts, Grappling, Boxing and Kali-Eskrima/Weapons Training as a vehicle for adults to gain confidence, get in shape, release stress and have fun while learning Practical Self-Defense. Our Jeet Kune Do / MMA class covers all situations that could happen in the ring or on the street. This concept was developed by Bruce Lee and has continued to evolve thanks to world class martial artist’s and original Bruce lee students such as, Dan Inosante and Richard Bustillo. These concepts have been handed down to Bobby Giordano and his team of instructors at the A.M.A.C and are now available to you! The JKD/MMA class covers all aspects of Martial arts and self-defense. We incorporate techniques that are proven to work from a wide variety of styles. Our stand up curriculum consists of techniques from Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Boxing covering punches, kicks, knees, elbows, clinch fighting, and some trapping techniques from wing chun. Techniques from Brazilian Jiu jitsu and shooto wrestling are incorporated to ensure that the student is comfortable on the ground. We cover everything from straight grappling and takedowns to throws and submissions. The Filipino Martial arts of Kali and Eskrima are also part of our curriculum covering stick and knife fighting for self-defense situations. The techniques from Kali and Eskrima are not limited to just sticks and knifes they could easily be adapted to a bottle, pen, scissors, keys, ect. Our Muay Thai curriculum is straight from Thailand, It is a very challenging class! All aspects of Muay Thai are covered. Punching, kicking, knees, elbows, and clinching are taught through drills on pads, mitts, and bags as well as through sparring. For those looking for a little less contact we also offer an Intro Kickboxing class. This class is great for beginners as they will learn all the basics and get a great cardio workout, but there is no sparring in this class. Its perfect for Men and Women of all fitness levels looking to learn basic kickboxing techniques and get in the best shape possible. Too busy for group class or looking to polish up your skill? A.M.A.C also offers Private Lessons by the hour. We currently teach state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies as well as professional athletes and celebrities on a private and semi-private basis. Call or click to schedule your private lesson today. All Classes at the A.M.A.C are monitored by qualified instructors to ensure safety. Our curriculum is designed to challenge beginners and polish even the most advanced martial artists. Students will get in great shape, learn practical self-defense, and have fun while doing it!
