My interests are traveling, photography, camping and hiking, and my two dogs...Oscar and Brittany.
Music
I like classic rock from the late 60's to the late 70's, groups such as Led Zep, Boston, and Styx. But my favorite music is Jazz. I like Jazz music from the 40's through the mid-sixties. I like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis (pre Bitches Brew era,) Coltrane, Brotzman,Ken Vandermark, and Monk. I like just about any Bebop. I like Flamenco and World music also.
Movies
Das Boots is one of my favorites along with the Blues Brothers. I like most Jet Li movies, Cold Mountain, Gladiator, and 300.
Television
Not a tv person but Cheers, Seinfield, and Third Rock are funny. I like the History Channel, the Military Channel, A&E, and the National Geographic Channel.
I watch a lot of CNN and the Weather Channel and occasionally
the Comedy Network.
Books
I'm reading War and Peace right now. I like the classics and The Vampire Chronicles only from Anne Rice.
About me: I am a university student in Atlanta, I go to Clayton State University (CSU.) My major is Communication and a minor in History. I am a Navy reservist and went to Iraq in 2005. I was there in support of OIF III and to support the 2nd MEF. I was all over Iraq and Kuwait: al Asad, ar Ramadi, Baghdad, KV, AQ, camp Doho, camp Moreell,
and Fallujah.
I work for the state of Ga. right now as a correctional officer. I work with death row inmates and the states mental health inmates.
I've lived all over the US and also in Okinawa, Guam, Kuwait, Iraq. I like to go camping and hiking whenever I get a chance...but that is rare lately. I like to travel and take photos of my journeys.
I have two dogs that I take care of and it's like having two little kids. They keep me sane.
I have a blog I write in, it's mostly about work but I will occasionally put in things that I find interesting. Right now I've gotten off track and started to put in articles on Rush's stupid comment about "phony soldiers."
