BIOGRAPHY: With the band celebrating their 4th year in existence, vocalist and guitarist John Salka looks back on the band's history and has only one thing to say: 'We're just getting started.' Formed in late 2005, hailing from Albany in upstate NY Amalgama has been making a name for themselves in the clubs across the northeast in support of their album ..When the Dust Settles... Influenced by bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Thin Lizzy the band combines powerful riffage of the dual-guitar battery unleashed by John Salka and Ray Hill, backed by Justin Cheever's thunderous drums and Sean Murphy's mighty bass to blast heavy metal into the 21st century.
