About me:
Amalgamated Mediaworks produces documentaries about interesting people. We're located in Chicago.
Our current film, "It's In the Blood: Leo Abshire & the Cajun Tradition" tells the story of Cajun fiddler & instrument maker Leo Abshire, a world-class musician & an embodiment of the culture of Western Louisiana. The film features interviews with Cajun greats D.L. Menard, Steve Riley & Doug Kershaw, and Cajun historian Barry Jean Ancelet.
We also produced films on dogsled racing ("The Dogs of El Nino") & labor history ("The Return of Joe Hill"). Trailers for these films coming soon.
Our web page is www.amalgamatedmediaworks.com.
