   About A Man Called Son

Ruins of Our Town

The debut album from A Man Called Son, 'Ruins of Our Town', has finally been released!!

Recorded at various (and sometimes haphazard) locations in Melbourne and Brisbane and mixed by Lindsay Gravina at Birdland Studios, the album is a fine consolidation of the songwriting strengths of Simon J Pearlman, building on the moody lyrics and inventive production of the previous two EPs.

Tracklisting is as follows

1. Broken Sunlight

 2. Waiting For The Jets

 3. The Discount Stores (Looked Ghostly At Night)

 4. My Life Is A Flop

 5. Slipping Away Again

 6. Lazy Shoreline

 7. A Time Before

 8. Been Here Too Long

 9. London Clouds

 10. Tale Yet To Be Told

 11. All The Things You Rely On

The album is available in both physical format and digital format (iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster etc.).

If you want a preview of 'Ruins Of Our Town', you can currently stream samples HERE.

You can purchase 'Ruins of Our Town' as well as all of A Man Called Son's previous releases from amancalledson.blogspot.com.

Yo Simon, hows it going? Yeah a not a whole lot my friend. I started my band finally a couple months ago but i've just been offered a place in a fairly busy touring band so i think i might take them up on that and see how it goes for now. Other than that, just been slowly getting back into some visual art, thinking about studying graphic design next year. Still got the shit job though, heh.
Hows melbourne been?

Yeah I heard u got a letter from Paul McCartney, that is wicked! I've been doing some session work lately as well as this other band.
This Lady has a really good professional band that she tours with and all that, she's supposed to sell at least 2000 albums, she's on the Radio, and my name'll be on her album, woo!

brisbane is good, except the constant stream of people leaving for melbourne / london continues. otherwise yeah, good.

recording has been good lately, i've been lucky enough to have been involved with some great bands. little scout, no anchor, dz, plus quite a few others. it's a nice way to spend my 'spare' time.

i'm just waiting for the (a man called son album) to come.

Somewhere. Somehow. Nic Cage is reading a terrible script and deciding whether the million dollar paycheck is worth his integrity.

Bring on World Trade Centre 2.
