Amanda Pole - Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar;
Ngaio Bealum - percussionist extraordinaire.
Influences
Her influences are many and varied, ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to They Might Be Giants, from Janis Joplin to The Beach Boys, from Heart to Dave Mathew’s Band, No Doubt, Ricky Lee Jones, Classical and everything in between.
Amanda began playing guitar at the age of 15. She has been writing her own material ever since, putting her poetry to music. She has completed her first demo/EP, “From The Basement”, which she recorded and produced herself in the basement of the music building at a local community college. She is working on developing a full album, as well as building a home recording studio. Amanda loves working in the studio, performing, writing and composing. She finds it difficult to choose a "favorite" when asked. Through all her pursuits, Amanda’s music is the driving force in her life. Her lyrics are empowering and inspiring, her melodies are unexpected yet inevitable… a true songwriting gem to join the singer/songwriter movement sweeping Los Angeles. You may find her on stage alone with her guitar bearing her soul, or joined by her band-mates to combine tribal rhythms and energetic violin with her driving guitar and velvety vocals. Either way, her emotionally driven music creates an undeniable sense of intimacy that captures anyone within earshot.
Greetings and salutations.... am I ever gonna see you? Missed you in Dec. Not sure when I'm headed to LA. I'll keep you updated. Would love to hear you perform live.
