David Franks: Walkabouts Verse

Jul 4 2009 4:31 PM

(Hi: enjoyed my visit.)

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN

Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.

I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.

I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”

Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

America produced one of the greatest entertainers the  world will ever know

yes Michael Jackson was the greatest  ambassador dignitary   the world has ever known,he has met and shook more presidents hands than any politician or entertainer that ever lived world over  ,,he is known world wide from china to Africa all four corners of the world and  all points  in between, not even Elvis accomplished that feat ,  he will out live time, not for who he is,,but what he stood for,,love,,as they prepare his last stage appearance be forewarned that all nations will cover the event of the century as we all  mourn this  icon as one ,,for the first time since man creation will all humans  agree as one  race  ,, yes he will be miss,,a pair of shoes no one can ever fill again..for the first time in my life time will i see we shell see,the Jews gentiles, all races creed and colors joining as one to honor the legion..yes that day even God will be smiling at creating some one who endured much of the same prosecution ridicule that Jesus did while still staying true to  love..
he said it best he was not gonna live his life being a color .he wasn't black,he wasn't white red green or yellow,
he was love the king of pop, peace wizthom@09

dear god we've had enough,
of the killing fields ,
pills that takes away how we feel,
pain corruption lieing cheating,

one thing i know,
the world is so cold,
injustice poverty,
the mighty stealing ,
from the weak,

why must it hurt so much
we've had enough,
we need not see no more,
of the  night chipping  away at the day,
crime desperation hopelessness  taking over faith,

oooo the  sun is growing dimer ,
the people are laying down ,
giving up on the the cross road,
why must it hurt so much
we've had enough,

can't trust our leaders ,
can't turn to our preacher,
who's gonna save us,
from the road paved ,

with well meaning intentions
but no direction ,
stones of ifs and buts,
why must it hurt so much
we've had enough.

where is the love,
what has hate done,
why are we the lost ones,
oooo we've had enough

i see the light shinning bright,
i feel my  spirit  as it takes flight,
i know if i go every thing will be alright,

we had enough of pain and hurt,
must be a better place for me,
farewell no-more watching the world,
go to hell,

why must it hurt so much
we've had enough,,gotta go,
heaven can't wait,,peace wizthom@09

Chicks Dig Scars - Chapter Two

~Musing Silence~

Jun 28 2009 5:26 PM

If You Forget Me

I want you to know

one thing.

You know how this is:

if I look

at the crystal moon, at the red branch

of the slow autumn at my window,

if I touch

near the fire

the impalpable ash

or the wrinkled body of the log,

everything carries me to you,

as if everything that exists,

aromas, light, metals,

were little boats

that sail

toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,

if little by little you stop loving me

I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly

you forget me

do not look for me,

for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,

the wind of banners

that passes through my life,

and you decide

to leave me at the shore

of the heart where I have roots,

remember

that on that day,

at that hour,

I shall lift my arms

and my roots will set off

to seek another land.

But

if each day,

each hour,

you feel that you are destined for me

"In nature, there is no such thing as a clash of colors. The more carefully you look, the deeper the subtleties of harmony. It is not so much that things flow into each other or around each other like perfect jigsaw pieces; rather it is that there is only One Thing out there.

And, somehow, it is not really 'out there.' Somehow, it is 'in here' too. Inside. At the furthest wavelength of thought, the sea and the wind and the trees and sand are . . .me. It is a thought that blinks into the mind, like a giant laughing eye, and then is gone for a long, long time."

Sals-- Lips

Sasha Pivovarova by Hedi Silmane

Crave Your Mouth, Your Voice, Your Hair

Don't go far off, not even for a day, because --
because -- I don't know how to say it: a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in an empty station
when the trains are parked off somewhere else, asleep.
Don't leave me, even for an hour, because
then the little drops of anguish will all run together,
the smoke that roams looking for a home will drift
into me, choking my lost heart.
Oh, may your silhouette never dissolve on the beach;
may your eyelids never flutter into the empty distance.
Don't leave me for a second, my dearest,
because in that moment you'll have gone so far
I'll wander mazily over all the earth, asking,
Will you come back? Will you leave me here, dying?

Chicks Dig Scars - Chapter One

Chicks dig scars, everyone knows that, right? Meet Severence DeSnappio, a man who creates ‘fake’ injuries for desperate clients. He’ll get you a stab wound, shot gun blast, snowboarding injury - but a bite from a great white shark?

S
et in Miami, Chicks Dig scars is a lyrical, Lynchian mix of dream logic and hard boiled detection.

Ant hill Pictures, Images and Photos
back in the day when i went by the name of king Solomon,
i will tell you the story,
one day myself and queen Sheba, followed by my army ,,
went riding back then only queens and kings of jah ,
could talk and listen to the animals,

well as queen Sheba ,i and my army ,traveled down this path ,
there stood in the middle of the road an ant hill,,,
as we approached we over heard one ant say to another,,,

wow here comes king Solomon and his army to trample us into dust,,,
i said not a word but queen Sheba did,,
she turned to me and said who do they think they are,,,

they should be honored to be trampled by a mighty wise king such as you-- king Solomon,,,,
still i said nothing as i led my army down that path with queen Sheba by my side,
just before i got to the ant hill,,
i turned my army followed my lead to go around the ant hill,
i then turned to queen Sheba to say,
that it's the job of the strong and mighty to take care of the weak and helpless,,
for it's JAH way,,,, so shell it be my way, peace wisemanspeeks aka wizthom@09
