Bio:

my story... not written in third person bc well... i'm not there yet! :)

when i was seven, we were on our way to lowe's in my moms blue oldsmobile, when my sister made me listen to a cassette of some out of tune, loud, and obnoxious girl singing along to reba's "is there life out there"... i was mortified when i realized that was me... slowly my seven year life long dream of becoming a country singer was ruined and i couldnt carry a tune in a five gallon bucket! ive hesitated on tape recorders ever since.

that was when i started writing... my cousin tamy is a songwriter and i always wanted to be like her growing up. her and my mama were the only ones that knew i wrote until the time i was 20ish. i figured, can't sing, can't play anything other than a saxophone (and we all know how useful that is), what's the point in telling anyone you write songs?!... then after a series of cool/weird/amazing events and people... everything changed. one front porch talk and barely two months later i moved to nashville.

i firmly believe God has a plan for everything. from birds on notebooks and buildings, to the people i've met, to the way i write. in the few months ive been here i've made the best friends i can ever have! i'm having the time of my life writing awesome songs with awesome people and not taking anything for granted.

to have your co-workers and friends be the writers of the songs that got you through high school, break-ups, divorces, death, and life... is amazing. i couldn't think of being anywhere else!

i'm trully blessed beyond belief and i thank God daily for a life i dont deserve!
