Interests

  • General

My general interests include: History, yoga, hiking, interesting moments and conversations, trying new things, holistic health, reading, writing, teaching, learning, theatre, politics...and of course I'm more interested in enjoying the journey of life than anything else. Photobucket

  • Television

  • Books

Beyond recommending that EVERYONE go read "The Tao of Pooh" and "Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance" (trust me, the world would be a better place if this happened) It would be easier for me to name authors that I enjoy at this point: Chuck Palahniuk, J.K. Rowling, Edgar Allen Poe, Irvine Welsh, Ernest Hemingway, Neil Gaiman, Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Eve Ensler, James Joyce, Paul Bibeau, William S. Burroughs, Richard Feynman, Brett Easton Ellis, Brian Van Meter, Greg Tate, Silvia Plath, Ken Kesey, Arthur Miller, Paulo Coelho, Richard Bach, George Orwell, Ayn Rand, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsburg, Kafka, H.P. Lovecraft, Poppy Z. Brite, Marion Zimmer Bradley...there's more, but that's all I can think of off of the top of my head...also go read these: http://willowmoonlight.googlepages.com/home........and of course..... http://www.createspace.com/3353324
  • Heroes

Edgar Allen Poe, Batman, Vaudeville Performers, and Danny Elfman would be the heroes that are obvious to me...but really I admire the HELL out of the incredibly intelligent, strong and funny folks that I know and love. :)

About me:

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."--Nitzche.....................I am an individual...just like everybody else :) I am a Reiki Master Practitioner who is working on my PhD. I write. I breathe. I do yoga and meditate almost daily.I teach. I learn. I listen. I laugh. I'm very optimistic and compassionate. I leave used tissues sitting on my desk. I vote. I smoke too much (but I want to quit and will before 30..), I love red wine and chocolate. I'm a bit too honest sometimes and come across a touch crass at others. Everything is a cosmic joke to me. I'm very much in love. I can't stand for deliberate cruelty. I see all sides of an argument and admittedly that can get annoying...especially mid argument. I love astronomy, astrology and staring at the stars lying on a blanket on a clear night............................... I'm ever so thankful for all of the folks in my life who give me such understanding and compassion I weep tears of joy every time I think of them. They are me as they are we and we are all together ;) http://myreikispace.ning.com/profile/Willow

Who I'd like to meet:

publishers, producers, old friends, new friends, philosophers, artists, poets, writers and crazy theatre folk.

I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

a great example of doctors getting kick back and the FDA letting slide...gardisil. The vaccine that they want to give to young girls to protect them from HPV and that HPV causes cervical cancer and yet the in a news release in 2003 the FDA(which you still find on thier web site) said that its scientists have condulded that HPV is not linked to cervical cancer and that HVP is self clearing and self limiting. Yet when I go into any womens health clinic there is pamplet after pamplet about HPV and that it causes cervical cancer and that gardisil is a vaccine that protects you from HPV. Yet they fail to tell you that there are about 100 strains of HVP, the vaccine only protects against 2 strains and that your body fights it off the same way it does the flu anyway...oh I could go on and on

It really is sad that people figure "well the doctor knows better than me". The hipcratic oath is not  the only thing that  motivates :)
