simplicity, babies, losing and winning, the moon, insomnia, the sad sad songs i overplay, aches and pains, secrets, death, but most of all good and bad love. love is the most valuable thing i have ever lost.
Amanda Kofron, Undiscovered St. Louis Gem

"Im notorious amongst my music-saavy friends for unabashedly loving female crooners - i.e. Fiona Apple, Carina Round, Bjork, etc - and so when a St. Louis native pal of mine, who also happens to be one of the station managers and radio hosts at WNYU, was burning me a CD a few months ago, he put three Amanda Kofron tracks on it. She worked with this friends younger brother while recording and he was certainly right to think Id enjoy it. You Will is a specifically incredible track with powerful vocals along with powerful lyrics and a particularly heartwrenching feel to it. She reminds me most of Adele, Columbia Record's big British sensation of the moment, and thats a pretty decent compliment considering how well shes doing.
For college-aged female vocalists, Id say shes doing something a bit more substantial that anyone has yet realized - along the lines of Mirah and Round."
