Coming Up Roses - Sacramento Remembers Elliott Smith is a tribute album with 15 of the finest renditions of Elliott's most adored songs. The idea for this compilation came about from musicians in the Sacramento scene raising money for the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund.
The song I contributed is Southern Belle. You can download Coming Up Roses - Sacramento Remembers Elliott Smith or Southern Belle on iTunes as a single song for ¢99 or buy all 15 tracks for $9.99. It is also available through cdbaby. com and rhapsody. com
All proceeds from the sale of this compilation will benefit Outside In a Portland, Oregon-based shelter serving homeless youth and low-income adults.
Hey there, I just wanted to let you know that I'm Still Alive and that I am in fact about to drop a brand new EP on the unsuspecting world! It is entitled MUTUAL and it is a complete work of love. I've been writing and recording, off and on, since April of last year and it's finally nearing completion.
I'm very excited to finally get to share it with everyone!
Thanks for listening and sticking around during these relatively quiet months. This year is going to be crazy!
My number one goal is to make my listeners happy. As you know this year my goal is to put 12 albums out so that I can capture a variety of listeners. Please let me know what you think of my album "Tung Teen" . Your opinions are appreciated. Please listen to it in my blog.
Just to give you an idea of some of the instruments we teach - we currently have teachers ready to teach you how to play guitar (acoustic, electric, bass), piano, flute, sax, drums, voice, violin/fiddle, cello, trumpet, tuba, mandolin, harmonica and much more! Give us a shout if there's something you want to learn - or get some help with! Even if you have a music related question - we'd be honoured to answer ;) Cheers!
We're giving out one more free month of music lessons - everybody that sends a message is entered in the draw. We teach everything - so if there's ever been an instrument you wanted to learn, now is the time ! :)
Amanda! Happy birthday!Wishing you cool sounds, good wine and continued creativity. May the year ahead be the best one yet! Natasha Mostert, author of Season of the Witch
