  • Bio

Amanda was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a mid-size city that has produced many successful musicians, including The Marshall Tucker Band, Joe Bennett and The Sparkletones, and Marshall Chapman. She began singing before she could speak, and she began "making up" songs shortly after. At age 9, Amanda began writing her songs down, attempting to take on the real role of a songwriter. She sang in church and school throughout her childhood, and performed an original for the first time at age 13 at Lake Junaluska. In addition to choirs and chorus, Amanda was also the singer for her high school's Jazz Band, which opened her eyes to a whole knew world of music. Amanda attended the University of Florida (Go Gators) from 2000 to her graduation in December 2004, but could not deny her heart was in music. So, after much prayer and thought, she moved to Nashville in August 2004 to do her internship and get to know the city. Amanda is continually working towards becoming the best artist and songwriter she can be. Her music is influenced by many artists, including Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams Jr, Janis Joplin, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Joan Jett. Her unique sound combines country-rock, southern-rock, a little blues and a lot of soul. Enjoy the music...and let us know what you think! After all, without fans, music wouldn't really go very far! News: Amanda's song "Soldier's Girl" was featured nationally on "Next GAC Star" in 2008 and she can be seen singing "He's Lookin' Better" in the early 2009 movie "Junkyard Dog"! Amanda recently got a cut with Moo Town Records recording artist Tim Culpepper and is working on her next recording project! She is also on the staff of an amazing event called Songwriter Girl Camp!
