They say timing is everything and in the world of music this couldn't be more true. A successful DJ must have not only an unnatural sense of rhythm, tone and composition, but also have the social savy and toughness to take advantage of "being at the right place at the right time."
Rude has resisted the easy route which often leads to medicore status. Instead riding her passions for UK Garage and Bassline House in anticipation of their impending prominence. Amanda is blessed with a natural charisma, which can too often detract from the true talent of some female artists, but while these attributes have surely opened doors for some, Amanda's impressive skills and relentless pursuit of fresh tracks are the foot that keeps her doors from closing.
As she has completed dates through the UK and Ibiza, her crates are surely full of bouncy authentic selections. Previously, she has opened for artists such as Robb G, Freq Nasty, Ill Gates, Skool of Thought and David Starfire- to name a few.
About 3 years ago Amanda Rude co-founded a group called FlyDJs (WWW.FLYDJS.COM). The ‘FlyDJs’ are an all-girl DJ collective, dedicated to helping one another with keeping the vibe alive & kicking wherever possible. This collective has thrown many events including monthly FlyDJs showcases and weekly female DJ lessons.
