Austin's Amanda Woosley is known for her versatility on the harp. Although classically-based, she also performs a wide variety of styles, including pop and movie themes, jazz standards, international pieces, and religious songs.
Amanda's style is best reflected in her debut album, "Beautiful Impressions". Released in December of 2007, it features several classical favorites, such as "Claire de Lune" and "Prelude in C", "Sea Anemones", and other impressionistic themes, favorite hymns, and an original piece by Amanda called "Enchanted Garden". All of the songs chosen have a personal significance to Amanda, and with the album footnotes, are her way of sharing a part of her life with her fans.
Amanda's music has been gracing Austin for over a decade in her performances at weddings, corporate events, holiday parties, and other special occasions. In August of 2006, she also was delighted to accept an invitation from conductor Patrick Phillips to join the Austin Wind Symphony. The ensemble performs several times a year in concerts featuring scores from television and film.
I've really enjoyed listening to your music and wish you the best concerning the future. However, right now, I'd like to ask a small request. Could you give my new Celtic-inspired track, RACING THE WIND, a listen and let me know what you think of it? Feedback is the only way for me to truely grow and develop as a musician.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your Myspace world Amanda. I hope you and your loved ones have a peaceful Memorial Day holiday. xox Julia ps...cheers to your continued success with your wonderful harp playing:)
