We would like to present the debut album of the Polish band Amaryllis - Inquietum Est Cor. This album is built around one guiding idea, of which a story is born. It is an unusual story, because it was written in unique way. This album is combination of two types of music separated by tens of centuries.

Das Album ist um eine führende Idee, von der eine Geschichte entsteht, gebildet. Wir möchten, dass jeder selber die Freude hätte, diese Geschichte und ihre Symbolik im Zusammenhang mit allen Kompositionen erraten zu können. Einige Stücke entstanden auf dem Weg der Fusion von originellen, mittelaltrigen Melodien mit modernem progressivem Rock. Andere dagegen vom Anfang an waren als Rockkinder geboren, waren aber immer mit Archaismus und Geheimnis der alten Musik inspiriert.

Cet album est construit autour d’une idée directrice à la base de laquelle naît un conte. Nous désirons que chacun ait le plaisir de découvrir cette histoire et sa symbolique dans le contexte de toutes les compositions. Certains ouvrages sont nés comme le résultat d’une fusion des mélodies d’origine médiévale avec le rock progressif contemporain. Les autres sont nés tout de suite les enfants du rock mais toujours inspirés d’un certain archaïsme et du mystère de la musique ancienne.

We encourage you to listen to the trailer „Inquietum est cor”, which is a clip from Amaryllis’ new album. The album has been built around the one leitmotiv. It has leading role to tell you a story. We would like you to read this story and the symbolism of all compositions with great relish. Some compositions came into being as a result of an original Middle Ages melodies combined with the modern progressive rock. The other compositions were born at once as kids of rock but they draw inspiration from archaism and mystery of Middle Ages music. We stayed on in the hope that you will be able to listen to the whole of our album soon. We have been looking for a publisher at this stage. At the same time we share our music with you.

"At the first hearing" we are like the unforgettable hybrid of sound colours combining two kinds of music divided from themselves the tens of centuries.

The idea of the group creation was raised - like in the case of good film script - from the simple question: "what would happen if...?". What would have happen if we had combined our fascinations for early music with the love to the progressive rock? First pieces were coming into being almost accidentally and were total experiment. From the beginning we knew that our music creation is not intended to be a modern arrangement of early music but an original synthesis of two trends. From early music we derive first of all the melody subjects, which has charmed us by their beauty and simplicity. The progressive rock inspired us by it's unusual harmony and what we care the most the unpredictability.
