I am a 27 year old white male, about 6'2" and (a few) pounds. I am a thinker, and I have a memory that just won't quit. Good memory is both my major gift and my Achilles' heel: on one hand it helps me learn with astounding speed and understand complex principles very easily; on the other hand I can't forget anything no matter how much I want to. Everything is always there, all the time...and trust me, it gets old quick.
I was raised Catholic, mostly, but dabbled in a lot of occult teachings and eastern religion in my teens and since. At my core, I am a spiritualist or animist that doesn't ascribe to organized religion in any form. I think that faith is both wonderful, in that it encourages individual growth and self-awareness; and horrible, in that when focused and dogmatized it encourages bigotry on a grand scale.
Politically, I'm a law-abiding citizen with a propensity for anarchistic thoughts. I don't believe that Federalism is the best system, and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that currency without a hard value basis (be it gold, land, seed, etc.) is mass delusion. I voted for Obama because I didn't want to ever see Sarah Palin in office, and so I could say I voted. I am hopeful that we can collectively mature as a nation. We are stuck, and the powers that be, the political aristocracy, have had no incentive to change. I think a 19% approval rating and no impeachment trial proved just how little our opinions matter to them...but that was the Bush years. Maybe things will be better this time around.
