Amauros started as an idea that Mike Saker and Jacob LeRoux would often dream about or even sometimes joke about. They would often spend nights thinking of different band names such as Fateful Day, Karma, The Nerdz. Eventually the two got sick of just dreaming and finally decided to pick up the instruments for real. So with the help of their parents Mike got his guitar and Jacob got his bass. A friend of theirs (Max White) also wanted to play in the band with them, so he got a drumset. Together they struggled to learn simple songs such as The Hardest Button to Button by The White Stripes and Holiday by Green Day. over the next few months Mike Saker and Jacobs skills at their instruments improved greatly because they did almost nothing but play their instruments and constantly pushed to play harder and harder material. Mike gained a passion for metal and Jacob gained a passion for funk helping both of them greatly in their training to become better players.
Two Years Later...
After working hard on writing a batch of songs they have been at work on making a name for themselves. Amauros played for a crowed of over 2000 people at the Battle of the Bands in the DECC Arena. After placing 4th out of 15 bands, they played a second gig for the top 4 bands and placed 2nd. The band is currently working on more writing and finding as many shows as possible.
Studio recordings are scheduled to be in mid-October with an EP of 6 songs or higher...
