About me:

Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education and Safety (CARES) was founded in Iquitos, Perú in 2004. A small, satellite office in the USA opened during 2008. Since being founded in 2004, our scope has expanded to address important topics. These include animal welfare, but also, human health, domestic violence prevention, humane education, conservation, environmental issues and assisted animal therapy. Studies show a strong link between animal and community health. We saw this with our own eyes, and created essential educational programs that benefit the community as a whole.
