20 Amazing breast cancer survivors on Harley Davidsons cruised into San Fransico on Saturday Sept 13 after 7 amazing days on the road together raising funds and awareness. In 2004 twenty young breast cancer survivors challenged themselves to a 1,000 mile ride on Harley-Davidson motorcycles up the beautiful California coast. Along the way they formed life long friendships, gained support and strength in dealing with their breast cancer experience, and raised vital funds for and awareness of breast cancer issues.
The first ride, called "Changing Gears", expanded in 2005 to become a Global Relay with 1,000 mile rides in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia, involving 48 young breast cancer survivors from around the world. In 2006 three rides again rolled out across the world with a new name - Amazon Heart Thunder - as part of Amazon Heart's range of adventures for breast cancer survivors.

Amazon Heart Odyssey takes groups of breast cancer survivors to disadvantaged communities around the world for one week construction projects that make a real difference to the lives of the local people, and provide a unique challenge and cultural experience for participants.
Each year Amazon Heart Odyssey heads to different locations around the world.
Each day of these amazing adventures is a celebration of their journey through breast cancer, as well as a powerful inspiration to the thousands of other women diagnosed each year.

Just a quick up-date on my battle with cancer. The mets to my liver have come back already and very aggressively. I got the results on Friday and started the new regiment of chemo that same day. I'll be on this for 3 months, providing my tumor marker goes down, showing that the cancer is responding to the chemo, then I'll be re-scanned and see where we're at. My Onco. said from here on out, I will most likely be on chemo more then I'm off. There are a few more chemo options to try, they just probably won't stay effective for very long after I end a regiment. I haven't given up on a continued miracle and I'm certainly not ready to wave the white flag. I am disappointed and angry right now, but I will use the anger to fuel my continued fight.
I've been resting a lot and haven't been on line much since I got the news. This chemo is very aggressive and can cause me to pick up the tiniest of infections, so I have to stay out of gatherings with many people. I hate that I have to miss family/friends gatherings, especially at our Holiday season :( but everyone understands that I have to put my health first. As long as I'm with Ray & Kaitlyn, my world is right. When I do have to be around others, I will be wearing a mask. Many people do not realize that they can be ill with something before they have any symptoms.
Thank you to all of you for your continued love, support and prayers. I appreciate them and love all of you more then you will ever know. I continue to keep all of you in my prayers as well, especially praying extra for Frank, Richard, Joan, Deb's Mother and all who love them. This disease is viscous and shows no mercy :( May GOD continue to bless and keep you.

Michael will be very missed by all. We will also very much so miss Farrah Fawcett and all those that have passed. We are doing well, Robin is doing great and enjoying her time off from treatment and now with the regular softball season over I have some free time. Sorry I have not been on I will try to hop on more. We love you and send tons of hugs and love your way !!!!!!
