Long before the dust settles from the landmark 2008 presidential election and the nation finally relaxes under the watchful eye of its new leader, one endearing if unpredicted peripheral player has emerged during this seemingly endless campaign who is planning to stick around long after her inaugural YouTube videos. She's already well known as the seductive, politically-linked actress whose lighthearted campaign cheerleading videos have been viewed by millions, earning her a Webby nomination for Best Viral Video. It all began last summer with "I've Got a Crush on Obama," the first in a series that has been lauded by People, The Associated Press, Newsweek and AOL as the internet's Video of the Year. MSN also named Amber one of the "11 Most Influential Women of 2007," and she continues to appear in numerous articles and other lists highlighting the internet's hottest and most popular stars. While she relishes her quirky contribution to pop culture history and notoriety as a modern day pin-up girl, Amber is now channeling energy and attention into her singing career with the release of "Second Time," her debut single on Silver Curve Records. An original dance/pop song in which Amber sings for the first time, "Second Time" was produced by Sky Hardasmal, Tommy J. Baldwin and Jonny Roszak, and will be available for purchase and digital download on iTunes, Rhapsody, AmazonMP3 and Napster beginning in June 2008, along with a music video and a second single already on deck this summer. Amber is currently working on recording a full-length studio album -- aptly entitled "Queen of the Web" –- which will be released later this year on Silver Curve Records, a multi-platform company specializing in radio- and dance club-friendly music. While the viral video vixen has performed the internet hit live with the Obama song's creator and vocalist, Leah Kaufmann, Amber is looking forward to sharing her own distinctive pop and R&B sensibilities with devoted fans and new audiences alike.
