MY TV SEGS ON CITY NEWS INTERNATIONAL (WWW)
Prior to City-TV, I worked as G4TechTV host and co-producer on Torrent (weekly one-hour TV show), co-host and co-producer on Call for Help (daily one-hour TV show) and Gadgets & Gizmos. Feeling sleepy? I produce/host a weekly web/tech news video podcast called commandN (www.commandn.tv) with Mike Lazazzera, my brother Jeff MacArthur, and Toronto-based video producer/City-TV colleague Brian McKechnie. I also produce/host a weekly audio podcast called Inside the Net w/Leo Laporte (www.twit.tv). And I write a monthly "Web Trends" column for The Calgary Sun Urbane Magazine. Hate long "About Me" sections? I have several years work experience in the web design/software industry in Canada and the U.S., at Razorfish San Fran, The Webby Awards in San Fran, and Microsoft Canada in T.dot. After finishing up an undergrad in English, I went to Journalism School (majored in broadcast/online journalism) and worked at CBC-TV Charlottetown (my hometown) as an associate reporter. Looking for this to end? I completed two trying internships at CBC-TV Charlottetown and KQED-Radio San Franscisco. I have lived in San Francisco (3 years), Boston (1 year), Halifax (3 years), Ottawa (10 years), PEI (a number of years), on the Ottawa River in a decrepit farmhouse (for too long), and I now live in Toronto.
