Twelve actors from Cromer based Amber Models agency stormed onto Norfolk beaches for an action packed show reel presentation. A normally quite Sunday morning was turned into a war zone with scenes mimicking the 1967 blockbuster movie 'The Dirty Dozen' The project was planned over a year ago by Amber Models supremo, Andreas Yiasimi "I have always been a great fan of the movie' said Andreas 'My models and actors are not run of the mill and I knew they would relish something like this" The models were dressed in camouflage gear provided by East Runton's 'Kit Bag' complete with grubby style make up by Paston college student, Eleonor Hicks. "I really enjoyed working on the shoot" said Eleanor "The models gave it all they had so I was determined the make-up didn't look cheesy. Rather than the usual lines across the face I went for dirty water based effect as if they had really been in a war"
International glamour star Polly Guy visits the Dales Hotel in Upper Sheringham for a spicy campaign to boost local tourist economy in the area and puts the celebrity status back into our Great British seaside resorts
A pageant queen, Hollywood actress and a top glamour model were the most unlikely combination to grace Mister Lonely's gala premiere screening at Cinema City in Norwich. Melita Morgan that plays a Maddona impersonator in the cult movie teamed up with Sunday Sport favourite, Polly Guy and former Miss Norwich Rebecca Richardson.
The grand affair was boosted with an appearance by movie cast, Daniel Rovai, Mal Whitely and rising child star, Michael-Joel Stuart. My name's Andreas Yiasimi and as far back as I can remember what makes me tick is music, photography, modelling and all the wonderful branches it has to offer. I guess its an important part of me and is as vital as food and water. It would be difficult for me to make one of these survival courses without a guitar or a press release deadline. Yeah that's it, I was born with two eyes, nose and with a heart that beats to the musical rhythm of life.
I entered my musical and photographic world on August the 16th 1961 at the London Hospital in the heart of the rough but beautiful East End of London. Son of Greek Cypriot parents who came over during the 1950's. We were poor but rich in heart, surrounded by street musicians, gangsters, working class dreams of hope but most of all love and trust.
Its the simple things that really count and when I look back its when we were at our lowest we were most happy. Its so true when they say limited funds are a blessing, not a curse. Nothing encourages creative thinking in quite the same way.
Having worked with some top names in the entertainment's industry (and treading the boards myself for many years) I know what is required from an artists or models point of view. After returning home from a spate of photographic and PR assignments across the UK I realised there was a demand for some solid advice and direction in our region so I started my own promotional outfit. My concentration never wavers whether I'm photographing a top name or a first time enthusiast.

Welcome to 'Amber Models UK' on 'My Space' I'm hoping that this will be a useful and powerful tool not only for run of the mill enthusiasts and new friends but also for genuine promoters models and photographers.
I run my model and photographic outfit from the North Norfolk Coast of the UK providing portfolios, PR and management. I am at present revamping 2 of my major sites throughout this year. One is geared up for fashion, TV extras and mainstream promotions and the other for stylish top end glamour.
I came up with the idea of trying out 'My Space' to see if it assists us in finding new faces for project 'search' as I call it. There are never any promises in this industry but I assure you that I will advise and direct to the best of my knowledge and look forward to building a useful resource here. There are really no words to describe the joy here at Amber Models at the news of Melita Morgan appearing at one of the worlds most prestigious film festivals. The movie titled 'Mister Lonely' has been directed by the gifted Harmony Korine and has an all star line up that includes Samantha Morton and Diego Luna.
The movie has already had a tremendous response at the Cannes Film Festival and has thrown Melita into the International film arena where she belongs. It's endearing to observe that success hasn't changed Melita at all and she remains charmingly humble and true to the art she so passionately loves.
Melita continues to be an inspirational influence here at Amber Models with her willingness to share her knowledge and valuable experience to help others. It's a pleasure to be dealing with her publicity and official photographic work for the exciting months ahead. keep posted as we bring you this amazing story in exclusive photographs, interviews and news as it breaks.

Still in early stages we are interested in hearing from local charities which could benifit from us raising money for them ( womens charities please on this occasion ) and also any one who wishes to be involved in the event or take advantage to one of our free stalls we have about 20 spaces still ava. for crafts, artists, workshops, readings, etc.
We will also be hosting a cloths swap shop were you can bring unwanted items to donate,or swap. you can also purchase items .
Kids are welcome until 8 pm and there will be stuff like face painting and bouncy castle for them .
So why not tell your girl friends and make it your girls day out !!!

Spring is here and so are the butterflies! This week I have a gallery of a particular group of butterflies called Brushfoots. Brushfoots are the most commonly known and encountered of the large colorful butterflies (excluding the swallowtails) found in Florida and the Americas. These include the monarchs, fritillaries, buckeyes, and the viceroy below (who has nearly identical markings as the toxic monarch butterfly) to keep it from being eaten by birds.... cool trick, huh? :-)
