Amber Nash is a 28 year old musician politely nudging her way through the ukulele and singer/songwriter scene. Previously a member of ukebucket and currently a member of Shiny and the Spoon, Cincinnati's only ukulele-folk-pop duo, Amber's style highlights her honest, clever originals and covers from Johnny Cash to The Beatles to 80s pop. She brings a mellow, unique sound to any stage she happens to come across.
Growing up in small-town Indiana and listening to the old greats (Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Kenny Rogers, Burl Ives, etc.) has led to an old country sound blended with a musical theatre background. Add a dash of awkwardness, and a voice that marries blues, jazz, country, and classical, and you've got, well, something unforgettable.
Amber currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio and has gigged around the city in venues such as Sidewinder Coffee & Tea, Mahogany's Coffeehouse & Bar, The Southgate House, Roh's Street Cafe, Everybody's Records, The Lyric, and Cincy Groove's first House Party.
Her sweet sound continues to catch the ear of music-lovers and musicians, and has lead to local radio appearances and feature of her music throughout the German independent film, Finding Frida. She is currently working on a new album with her band, Shiny and the Spoon.

"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
