Improvisaatiosessioista vuonna 2005 syksyllä yhtyeeksi vakiintuneen Ambivalencen musiikki on sekoitus ambientia, free jazzia ja etnosävyjä vahvalla improvisaatorisella otteella. Yhtye ammentaa inspiraationsa luonnosta, harmonian ja melodian sekä toisaalta akustisen ja synteettisen äänimaailman vuoropuhelusta ja vastakohtakohtaisuuksista – elämän ambivalenssista. Originally started as occasional imrovisation sessions, the band, Ambivalence, was founded in fall 2005. Their music is a mixture of ambient sounds and free jazz with ethnic flavours, all combined with strong improvisational approach. The band is inspired by the nature, and the contrasts and interaction of harmony and melody, and on the other hand the acustic and syntethic sound landscapes - the overall ambivalence of life.
