Ambrogio Gaigher är född och uppvuxen i norra Italien. Redan i tonåren studerade han musik vid en musikskola i sin hemstad Schio. Där fick han undervisning i klassisk gitarr, trumpet och kontrabas.
Sedan Ambrogio hört den berömda solisten på hawaiigitarr Gino Bordin och även fått lektioner av honom blev hawaiigitarr hans favoritinstrument för resten av livet.
Efter andra världskrigets slut utvandrade Ambrogio 1952 till Brasilien. Där började han uppträda på olika radiostationer i São Paulo.
Tillsammans med två andra musiker bildade han gruppen ’Trio Sem Fronteira’. De fick skivkontrakt och gav ut flera 78-varvs skivor.
Med hjälp av sin promotor Ariovaldo Pires – mera känd som Capitão Furtado - spelade Ambrogio in sin första LP, ’Guitarra Maravilhosa’ hos skivbolaget Philips. Med melodin ’Moreninha Linda’ från den LP-n blev de berömda i hela Brasilien och låg under lång tid etta på försäljningstoppen.
Av Capitão Furtado fick Ambrogio artistnamnet ’ESPERANTO’ eftersom han spelade musik från flera världsdelar.
Sin andra LP, ’ESPERANTO, GUITARRAHAVAIANA’ spelades in hos skivbolaget RGE och även den fick stor framgång.
Ambrogio har gjort shower med många berömda brasilianska och italienska artister, såsom Cascatinha & Inhana, The Galvão Sisters och från Italien tillsammans med Alberto Sordi, Wilma de Agelis, Luciano Tajoli och Toni Dallara. I många brasilianska TV-program har Ambrogio uppträtt med att spela på hawaiigitarr.
De senaste tre åren har Ambrogio gett ut sju CD.
Den första CD:n ’Grupo Ambrogio com Fernando e Bernardo, único grupo com Guitarra Havaiana e Harpa’.
Sex CD i en serie ‘Ambrogio Gaigher, O Rei da Guitarra Havaiana’. CD nummer 1 till 3 är musik från 78-varvare och LP-skivor.
CD nummer 4 till 6 är nyare inspelningar. CD 5, ’Natal no Mundo’ är en speciell Jul-CD.
Nyligen har Ambrogio uppträtt på olika TV–kanaler här i Brasilien:
TV Século 21, med Padre Antonio Maria. Vid flera tillfällen hos TV Diário, São Paulo med Carlos Santos som ledare och vid några tillfällen hos TV Record i ett country program lett av countryartisten TUTTI KENT.
Ambrogio har konstruerat prototypen för ’synten’, som kunde låta som många olika instrument. Han hade även patent på den.
Han har skrivit en självbiografi ’A Trajetória de uma Vida, um immigrant no Brazil’. Boken är översatt till italienska och svenska. Svensk titel ’Här Är Mitt Liv, en invandrare i Brasilien’ med ISBN 91-633-1096-6 som kan beställas via e-mail, birgitta.gaigher(at)hotmail.com. och betalas via PayPal till ovan nämda e-mail adress. Även CD 4 till 6 kan beställas på samma e-mail adress och betalas via PayPal.
Under det här året har RhonBob, WHP och NITE*SKY promotions gjort framgångsrik promotion för Ambrogio hos många radio DJ’s runt om i världen. Ambrogio Gaigher är hedrad med NITE*SKY Award 2008 som årets instrumentalist.

Ambrogio Gaigher is born and raised in the north of Italy. Already as a teenager he went to a music academy in his hometown Schio, where he got lessons in classic guitar, trumpet and contrabass.
Since Ambrogio has heard the famous steel guitar player Gino Bordin and got lessons from him, the steel guitar became his favourite instrument for the rest of life.
After the Second World War Ambrogio immigrated to Brazil 1952, just 21 years of age. It was there he began to perform at different radio stations in São Paulo.
Together with two other musicians he formed the group ’Trio Sem Fronteira’. They got record contracts and recorded several discs.
With help of his promoter Ariovaldo Pires – more known as Capitão Furtado – Ambrogio recorded his first LP disc, ’Guitarra Maravilhosa’ at the record company Philips. With the song ’Moreninha Linda’ from that LP, they became famous in all Brazil, and were number one on the hit parade for one year.
Capitão Furtado gave Ambrogio the artist name ’ESPERANTO’ as he played music’s from several parts of the world.
His second LP, ’ESPERANTO, GUITARRAHAVAIANA’ was recorded at the record company RGE, and even this was a great success.
Ambrogio has done shows with many famous Brazilian and Italian artistes, as Cascatinha & Inhana, The Galvão Sisters and from Italy together with Alberto Sordi, Wilma de Agelis, Luciano Tajoli and Toni Dallara. In many Brazilian TV-programs Ambrogio has performed with his steel guitar.
The latest years Ambrogio has launched seven CD’s.

A series of six CD’s with the name ‘Ambrogio Gaigher, O Rei da Guitarra Havaiana’.

Ambrogio has invented the prototype of the synt, which could sound like many different music instruments and he had a registered patent on it.
He has written an autobiography, 'A Trajetória de uma Vida, um immigrant no Brazil'. The book is translated into Italian and Swedish.
