Whenever I'm asked whether I consider myself a fantastic talent or just an amazingly cool bloke, my answer's always the same:
For me they're not mutually exclusive.
Sounds Like
How can anyone possibly assume that I'm serious when I say my music sounds like
'Mozart for grownups'?? That's obviously just a joke.
It sounds way better.
1> AMB remix 2> Ooah remix 3> Erik Sumo in the woods mix
Following the success of the Beaver Blink house versions, here is the second pack of remixes for those who prefer the broken beats. On the remix duties this time are our own AMB, the Glitch Mob member Ooah, and Pulver fame Erik Sumo. GlitchHop, breakbeat and electronica meets on the release so sure you will find something for yourself!
IDJ
"Ambrus Deak, we're told, a Hungarian based in London but don't tell the Daily Mail. I can see the frontpage headline now:
'East Europeans stealing OUR electronic house jobs!'
Good on Ambrus, I say, because both tracks here, 'Picker' and its tight wobble fun and the Trentemoller-esque 'Minifunk', are well worth putting a few UK layabouts on the dole FOR."
Ministry of Sound
"An absolutely brilliant EP from a Brilliant producer. Love the beautiful soundscapes of Minifunk, and Picker is a nice contrast. AMB is so hot right now."
Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister)
"Excellent. Dig Minifunk. Nice and deep."
DJ Mag
‘Romeo’ man AMB turns out squelchy club tool ‘Picker’ that’ll work well early doors. Overleaf, ‘Minifunk’ is a chiming minimal progressive beast.
