    The AMC was a strictly non profit organisation based in Limerick, Ireland. The three letters stood for Aspersion Music Collective. The aim of the collective was to promote all types of music in the city. We ran gigs as often as possible and we actively encouraged bands and musicians to help each other by sharing equipment, transport, and shows, all for the greater good of the live scene We also tried to put on as varied a musical selection as possible so that ultimately, you, the music lover had a good reason once again to go and support the gigs. Since the AMC came into operation in December of '99 we have achieved a lot of the goals we set out to. Over the last seven years we have put on some fantastic gigs that will long be remembered in our little city. Some of the highlights included - Fugazi, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The D4, The Icarus Line, Erin McKeown, Skinlab, Shelter, American Analog Set, Jeffery Lewis, The Lapse, Dalek, Soledad Brothers, Capdown, The Handsome Family, The Undead, Joe Pernice, eX-Girl, Redneck Manifesto, Ensign, The Apes, Jetplane Landing, Moldy Peaches, Raging Speedhorn, Sweep The Leg Johnny, Explosions in the Sky, Electric Eel Shock, plus many many more. It is unfortunate that we don't put on as many shows as we used to. A lot of the people who were involved in the collective have gone on to do their own thing. Out On A Limb Records, Mockery Records, School Teaching, Painting, Health Care, unemployment benefit, rocknroll, and other great things. It's not all past tense with us boys. We put on gigs that appeal to us when we can. They are scarse but you know you'll be guaranteed the rock. Please let us know you were here, and feel free to leave a comment or even send us an e-mail.     ALIAS EMPIRE UPDATE!
    www. aliasempire. com has recently gone live and on sign up members can download 'AEmix', a 6 track remixes EP, for free. This includes remixes of our own tracks as well as tracks by Messiah J and the Expert and Cars in Walls. Half of the remixes are by us while the rest have been handled by Philth and Seki, Nina Hynes, and Klass of '83. Each track has its own unique artwork included in the download.     I just uploaded the two songs that didn't make the final cut for the album. Have a listen. This'll be the last time I put anything up before the album comes out. We're going to master it in Abbey Road on the 11th December!! AT LAST!

    Yo TheAMC,

    Sorry bout the group mail (despite your name being cunningly added into the first line. How did I do that?)

    Anyways, stuck up some new recordings of songs we did in the album session in Electrical Audio. None of the songs are mastered yet and there are a couple of tweaks here and there to be done but I thought I"d stick em up so you could get a listen before the album is released.

    I"m gonna rotate the songs on an as unyet decided basis (weekly, biweekly, triweekly even??) and include songs that didn"t make the final cut. Watch out for them...

    The songs up now are There You Stand, This Is How We Play and Home.
