Coming on like the illegitimate lovechild of PJ Harvey and Timbaland, Dixie are a duo fronted by singer/song writer Amy D and DJ/producer Jimmy Mixit.
From their studio in Battersea, Dixie are following in the footsteps of Massive Attack, creating a unique UK electronica sound.
Their live performances conforms to the classic Hip Hop aesthetic of two turntables and a microphone.
Look out for the Dixie Mixtape Vol. 1, which comes “highly recommended” as reviewed by DJ Yoda in January’s Hip Hop Connection.
