Writer. Poet. Spoken Word Artist. Early on it was apparent that Amena Browns words had the power to excite, ignite and inspire. Writing poetry from the age of twelve, and blowing audiences away with her spoken word at seventeen, there was little doubt in her mind that the words swirling in her mind would carve a clear path for her to follow.
In her four years at Spelman College, what was innate became refined as Amena honed her gifts through study and living. As she matured, she gained clarity and focus, realizing that she didnt want to be known as another artist, another writer, or to just make a living with her gifts. She was part of a generation searching for the real, the genuine in the age of facsimile. She became passionate about articulating truth for that generation through her work.
In the last few years, Amena has traveled the country, reaching audiences as intimate as 50 and as sprawling as 15,000. One thing remains front and center for her, no matter the venue or audience. She chooses to live a life driven by truth, and wants to challenge and inspire a generation to do the same. And for Amena Brown, that is the last word.

I was saved on February 24th , and Baptized on March 15th. And its been really hard to listen to what God is telling me. But when i hear your words.. i hear the compassion and the..the pure emotion. I find it seeping into me. I thank you so much for that. And i will keep in touch. Thanks.
