Amiga Agia
Location: USA
Bio: Amiga Agia is maybe one of the most original experimental chiptune producers of today.
Agia describes his-self by apposite words in this way: ,,I started creating music when I was about 15 or so. I was already in love with electronic sounds. In school we had an electronic music class which I took. That is where I learned some of the basic tools to creating music. In class, we used synthesizers and a basic sequencer. I really enjoyed it.
Eventually as time went on, a friend of mine introduced me to a few music programs to use at home. He showed me different insturments I could use and how to program synths to make the sounds I wanted to make. This is when I started making full length songs and really got to spend a lot of time learning the structures of different styles.
Many of my influences come from great electronic artists such as, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Zentrix, and many others. I try not to fit in to any specific genre, but to create the sounds I love to hear and put them into a song I love to listen to.
Over the years I have produced many differnet styles of music but now I am making my own style, not sticking to forms or the same style of programed drums people are usually listening to. From here, I will continue producing songs with sounds and styles people dont normally hear, but like.''
Bio: In 1987 a silly little creature was born in a town called Ostend, Belgium. In 2004 she started listening to breakcore, because of her friend Saper. At first she didn't want to know that kinda music coz it sucked in her eyes/ears. But after a while she fell in love with the style. Because SaPeR was producing she also wanted to learn how to make music, so she got herself Fruity Loops and started with making lazy dnb tracks which weren't really 100% dnb. Because she wanted to put her songs online she needed a name so Julie called herself Baba Yaga. Then her first songs came online on a belgian site ''electrobel''. Baba YagA really enjoyed making music, she still does of course! She joined the label ''Unfinished Monkey Record (UMR)'', and recently the label ''Amenorea''.
Bio: Blasterspheric is a young producer, born in Brno (Czech Republic) in 1989 and still living there. He started creating electronic music in 2004 and thanks to his great taste for experiments has tried many styles ever since, still sticking at most of them, using different nicknames. His latest producer ego decided to experiment with ambient and darkambient sound, combining it with breakcore, which results in unmistakeable atmobreak sound.
Bio: Here are the describes of CDR music by two big artists on the scene.
Maruosa said: CDR is a pornography fueled breakbeat machine designed to hurt your
head with the best sounds you can imagine! When I first saw him play
in London, it was 6am and one of the most insane, disgusting and
illegal raves in UK history (the Kracked supermarket party), and in
the middle of this drugged out mess, CDR took the stage and literally
blew away every act that had played before, and that's saying a lot,
because Hellfish, Kid 606 and The Bug played as well! CDR sort of just
remakes the rules. You know the sounds he uses - video games, amen
blasts, gabber kicks- but somehow he puts them together in new ways
and makes them louder and more insane than ever!
Donna Summer said: CDR mixes up sweet melodies with brutal amen breaks and gabba kicks!
on one hand he lulls you into a dreamy state of euphonic bliss, only
to tear your heart out with white noise, distortion and plenty of
breakcore. This is CDR's most varried and friendly work to date, and
will appeal to a much wider audience than his previous releases! get
it!
Bio: Claviq is 19 year old producer from Prague. He started making his music at 2005 in his 15 years. First, he started with crazy mixes, mixed oldschool jungle tracks with soul, jazz, rap and much more.
In half of 2005 he began to tried make a rap. First his track named "Sratchka" with his mad rap screaming to dnb music, goes to been strongly popular and it heared around 10 000 people.
One day Claviq decided, that he dont wan't rapping along to outlandish tracks (instrumentals) and started making beats in his first program for music producing - FL Studio 7. From classic rap beats he naturally comed to instrumental music and in boring days at 2006 he started make downtempo, idm, abstract rap and similar genres. Later, he discovered dubstep, and he knows that it is that, what he want to do. His dubstep tracks was been played in czech Radio 1 and in random DJ sets on the radio stations and in the clubs.
Nowadays he mainly composing dubstep and experimental idm.
Bio: Deftype has been producing since 1998 in his homestudio. The Gemischtwaren ep is his first publication, released on the Phonocake Netlabel. Soon, more releases were publicised on different other netlabels.
Living and working in Dresden, Deftype creates music, that as he says is a kind of diary that consists of tracks, associations, feelings of one year or any other given amount of time.
Bio: Dr Twiztid from Birmingham growing up listening to heavy dub surrounded by sound systems was good push for the sound now found in his music. Producing the darker and filthy side of dubstep which people have started to like an admire with various tunes apperaring on mixes and radio (Sub.fm, Streamizm, Dubstep.fm and React.fm) this is a name to look out for.
Bio: Eternal Sunset is a polish music producer focused on breakcore, drill'n'bass,
idm and similar genres. His first touch with keyboard was when he was 5, till
the middle of 90th he had only keyboard instruments with lack of sequencer or
they had it but incredibly simple one with only on the fly record. That was not
much developing time, but after that yamaha workstation appear, with 16 track
sequencer and amiga 500 computer that were used to produce house, dream-trance,
jungle, gabber and drum'n'bass music. At the end of 90th Eternal Sunset went to music school,
three years later he shift from "protracker" to simply pc tracker,
in the meantime Eternal Sunset accidently encounter new episode of
the most interesting TV show on VIVA - "house TV". They were showing producers
of non-commercial electronics and their music, in that episode was dedicated to
Squarepusher, when Eternal Sunset saw his video clip "Come On My Selector"
he just acknowledge that this is just great, that precision of sound and video...
since then the changed his field to drill'n'bass. In the 2003 the changed his tracker
to sequencer with piano roll edit style and since then the good time begins,
he's abilities improved (probably that was caused among other things by
listening of more ambitious music). Eternal Sunset's music is a combine of
idm with clicks and gentle melodic instruments, sometimes a idm with drillin
drums and sometimes drill'n'bass with jazz elements and sometimes it's just
a pure breakcore. Eternal Sunset also produces chiptunes as 8-BITchin'

Bio: In 1986, when Spectrum 128 became available, I started experimenting with computer music (“computer music” back then meant “something sounding almost as good as the oldest Kraftwerk stuff, but in mono”). This carried on into my work with other computers: Namely Commodore Amiga, SAM Coupe, plus other machines here and there. You can get all my music for Spectrum’s AY8192 chip (the same that was in the old Atari ST) from this archive (the player for Windows is included). If you don’t remember those times, you probably won’t be physically able to endure the sound, but remember that this was cutting edge stuff. I basically created my own interpreted programming language for storing music (it had loops, subroutines, variables etc.). Recently, I also created some remixes of old 8-bit tunes using rather nice FL Studio music tool. You can get the remixes here. The fact that these remixes usually started by rendering 2000 bytes of original music file into 50,000,000 bytes of samples (and manipulating those) is rather ironic.
As anyone interested in computers, I also became interested in BBSs (bulletin board systems) and later the Internet. Even today, I work on several websites (for example, I am one of the founders of www.kompost.cz no-brow humor site). But, as you can see from the page you are currently reading, it would be a stretch to also call me “web designer”.
I also became interested in the movies quite early and I was able to start writing movie reviews for “Cinema” magazine and translating movies for Czech Release in the early 1990s. I have my weekly movie internet column at novinky.cz news site called FFFILM, I am a co-host of local radio show, I created and programmed massive multiplayer SMS game for Eurotel Czech Republic (no longer running), I am web-publishing the Czech version of Red Meat cartoon (with kind permission of the author), I composed soundtracks for two movies you never heard of and other stuff I probably forgot about. My lifelong dream was to visit Tokyo which I managed to do twice three times and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. I am currently working on finding another reason to live.
Bio: Glix was born 1984 in Yonkers, New York and raised in The Hudson Valley where during his teenage years he acquired quite a reputation for being a unique and most un-conventional individual to spend time around. He re-located to the Southwestern United States in 2005 and has been both continuing and refining his musical onslaught from the desert ever since.
Bio: 33 year old french living in Paris, making electronic music, the “Brilliant inventor of Meat ice cream (La Glace A La Viande) and of Sucking lips (Les Lèvres Suceuses), JeRe (Le JeRe), is also a monomaniac schizophren on his spare time. ” Active for a decade, he initiated “Bugcore”, a musical genre created from mistakes, and released his music on several labels, including Peace Off. He is a member of the collective Belgian Cannibal Caniche and offers a crazy and not devoid of humor but still dancing liveset.

John Kaufka
Location: Guatemala
Bio: The musical artist that is John Kaufka is actually a guy from Guatemala, Central America, named Geovany Moreno. In the last 7 or 8 years, he has made an enormous impact on electronic music.
John Kaufka is a very prolific artist ... his first few releases were on Glued
records.
John Kaufka began his career with a single entitled "interprete desconocido" single which was closely followed by the album "Phobos Nibiru". Opening with "undefined". Harsh, cerebral, unique. Nevertheless "brainfuck3r" wound up in end of year. After that Kemtaki-eye was born.
Kemtaki-eye and the album called "I need a record label" also was very popular at the end of the year 2002. For several people in guatemala that album made a difference in the terms of production. It seems like he was on the studio working hard to get that album whit that atmosphere. Kemtaki-eye was the bridge between brainfuck3r and INki Druifty Casseta.
He describes the musical process as
"...not thinking what you are doing."
"the ideas and things start to flow," he explains,
"it..s everything between your brain and your computer".
you dont have to worry about things like chords and notes."
"The music is like silence" You can hear it if you want.
...it takes at least four or five listens to absorb even the basic structures of the record" was dross_dot's comment on the follow-up "assprop (INKI Druifty Casseta)" release.
John Kaufka has since gone on to release the albums "assprop" and the awesome newie "como masturbarse en caso de emergencia" both of which have continued to challenge the industry...
John Kaufka has also been known as INki Druifty Casseta - Kemtaki-eye and brainfuck3r
His most recent release is named "I dislike" by John Kaufka
Bio: Kwasior aged 23; his adventure with music had started several years ago. Yet in his early years as a child he was listening to a lot of electronic and experimental music but always kept his roots with Reggae and Dubbs on which he’s grown up in his motherland. (Poland) His open-minded attitude towards music allowed him to be unlimited and diverse. His style can be described as an energetic mixture of Breakcore, Raggacore, dnb Speedcore, Drillcore and Jungle. KwasioR’s projects were played on underground radio stations and are well known from Net-Labels. ‘Sociopath Recordings’ distributed the latest production. The compilation contains 7 tracks such as ‘IDM’ and ‘Noise’. Since 2003 his musical career with the electronic music has developed into serious activity. A few years ago he has immigrated to Italy where he continues the further exploration of the music. The progress and new circumstances have changed his lifestyle completely. He got to know many helpful people from the underground, which showed him the trade in different light. Nowadays, KwasioR produces the music in his own studio in Florence (Northern Italy). From the past two years him and his other producers organise the rave-up called ‘Metal core’. KwasioR about himself says: ''The music makes me feel like sombodyelse and if there won’t a music in my life I'd be a piece of waste…'' ''I love to seat with my computer and produce in silence of the gloom.''
Bio: Stalker Star is a one-man IDM/Glitch/Ambient act, brought in existence from Vardan Chuchkov. The act was known in the underground life of Skopje at the time as Kowloon Gray, and the first album " Living Still Dead " was recorded in the studio of Vlatko Kaevski - Kiborg in 1996. One song from it made fantastic success - it's name is ' The dance of the devil's bride ' sang by the popular Macedonian actress Arna Shijak. Since the year 2002 with a pentium3 on 1GHz a recorded (however non-profesional) the second album now under the moniker of Kowloon White - and the album was named " the crossings" (2003), and it was electronic to the bone. Then came the equipment within the next 6 years: CPU Intel 2,7 GHZ with 1G RAM - running M-Audio Delta 1010 24/96 multichannel card and various sequencing software ; a loop/phrase sampler Yamaha SU200; a double diaphragm condenser mic - Behringer B2 in pair with a Tube mic preamp ; a double-channel behringer analog tube expander/compressor/limiter (this is where my best sounds come trough);a Roland mc-303, which has very nice 808 &b 909 kits and standard hardware sequencer; small 8 channel mixer with 24 bit effects; a VA Korg MS2000br synth . The analog polyphonic synth beast of Korg - Poly61 full size keyboard; The Korg Triton is now gone - on its place are the mighty Triton killer (as i call it) the E-mu Emax HD, a vintage lo-fi keyboard sampler, a Roland JUNO-106 - fantastic analog polysynth from thew 80's and a Roland JUPITER 4, another vintage beast from the 70's with enormous fantastic sound...I haven't even got the time to use them properly in my productions, so do expect them to change their sound considerably/dramatically...Finally monitoring nirvana is provided by Tannoy Reveal. Perfect, deep and so physically small but full with electronic soul...A laptop and a Roland-SH201 VA synth are in the pipeline. So - in 2004 i recorded the fantastic lo-fi acidly album, this one under the moniker of 'Lamed IAO' called " Born with the law on his lips" In that period, we met with Jana Jakimovska, the girl singing in the other project I do, the proper band called ' Witch 8 '. Its a kindof electro-gothick thing - not that faraway from Sisters of Mercy's 'Floodland' album - but ofc much more modern and different sounding. With Witch 8 in 2004-5 we recorded an album called " Lust ". We had several very well accepted and underground popular songs, we had some public appearances, they released us on a compilation in the arty magazine ' ART Republika " - so me and Jana don't think to stop the project...in no way. www.myspace.com/witch8 In the meantime, I recorded the tech-ambient-house album under another one of my alias' AHIH ASHR AHIH named " Invokation of kundalini M ". It was a try on more comercial electronica and that fact was the defining moment for my next projects - which are focused at breaking new grounds- something my friends at Amenorea would call FLASHCORE. In 2005-6 i recorded the double-album called '24hour pieces' - you have one track for every hour of the day & nite. From here i adopted the Stalker Star alias. I consider this double album to be the first real masterpiece of mine. Then in 06, under the alias of 'Hermes Trizdi - Veliki ' I made the fantastic " Az Buki Vedam Glagolam " - album wich contains 14 entheogenic track capable of showing you whole new worlds... planets and constellations :) And finally in 2007 I finished working on a project which is in format of 3 cd set album. The trilogy is called ' ALEXANDRIA' and it deals with ancient Macedonia, Aleksandar III Makedonski - Velliki Car Slavjanski, with the slaughtering of the Greeks and taking the Persian empire on a plate..and so on & on & on... The names of the 3 albums from wich 'ALEXANDRIA' consists are - 1: "Ar Makedon ", 2nd: " The Gordi-On mistake " and the 3rd and final album is called ' The Abyss " . Greetz to all my fans and especially to Czech net-label AMENOREA wich signed me into their little musical company and are releasing this year (hopefully) the 'ALEXANDRIA' project. - - - - - - -- - LOVE N LIGHT FOR ALL COZ THE LAW IS FOR ALL AND THE LAW IS LOVE - - - - - - - - - - VARDAN CHUCHKOV AKA STALKER STAR AKA CHORONZON AKA KOWLOON GRAY AKA AHIH ASHER AHIH AKA HERMES TRIZDI-VELIKI AKA LAMED IAO .........
Bio: Swampyboy is a university student living outside of London. He makes 8bit music "heavily influenced by 90's jungle and happy hardcore music + retro video game soundtracks" using lsdj, renoise, and a korg emx electribe and kaoss pad 2.
