| About Ameretat(New Gigs Added) |
Ameretat came together in the early months of 2006. Chris, Garry and Mustafa decided it was time to destroy their old band and create something new and interesting that fused together their love for death metal with a hint of the Persian heritage from Mustafa.
Ameretat slowly began to develop into a brutal death metal band that incorporated slight musical characteristics from the middle east of the world with their love of progressive metal, taking their music often on long and experimental journeys.
In the summer of 2006 Ameretat began to record their own demo. Seven songs were recorded by themselves with much help from producer John Martinez. The songs (created from all three minds) were a demonstration of how death metal should be: fast, technical and very brutal, layered with elements of progression and originality.
8 months were spent tightening these songs for their live show, ensuring the best possible performance.
Shows in Sheffield were played to a welcome audience with the help of a fill in bassist. Ameretat got the chance to play with various well known bands in the area such as Subliminal Fear, Invey, My Demise and Siren Lake.
Not content with playing in one city, Ameretat took the chance to book shows all over the country for the summer including Lincoln, Lancaster, and Rushden. The band have also taken the opportunity to do a major UK tour with Loathe in the summer of 2008 called the ‘Death Before Conformity’ tour.
The recent addition of Robert on bass meant a new creative mind for the band. Having a lot of previous experience in bands such as Red 20 and Zenolyth, Rob is more than capable of fitting into the Ameretat equation due to his technicality and stage presence.
Always writing new material, Ameretat hope to record a full length debut album in the near future showcasing every side of their creative musical minds, hoping the ears of those that are not normally attuned to death metal will also enjoy.
