Pick up the current issue of AC and fill out an entry form to be our next Cheerleader of the Month! Athletes who are selected will be the stars of their own exclusive photo shoot with the editors, given a chance to be on our cover and receive a $1,500 scholarship! Selections are based on applicants' cheer qualifications, academics, community and school involvement, recommendations and essay, and are made by the American Cheerleader staff. I love cheerleading!!! i do winter at stoneham high school and i coach the crusader level for an organization called necyfl....our whole town is in 1st place so far which has never happened...im soooo excited
Hi im Nicolle.Im captian of my cheerleading team for high school and they dont take me seriously. We are pretty much the joke of the school. All the girls think its just about looking cute in a uniform, and at our homecoming pep rally they dropped one of our flyers. What can i do to solve this problem?

It was from AC! i rushed to open it and there was so many things inside. My mom promised to pay for my subscription for now on. It saved her from having to go and buy everything i wanted that was in the magazine :p
OMG I love your mag. I go to FJH ( Fountainbleau Junior High) I wanted to try out but I couldn't beacause I am not that athletic but I love to cheer but most of all my friends made it soo i am going to try out next year sooo how can i get athletic so i can cheer? as in do the toetouches higher or hirkies better and pikes good?
have you ever thought of putting a mascot artical or mascot of the month for middle school high school and maybe pro i just thought it was an interesting thing at my school mascots are part of the cheer program afterall we are just cheerleader in a costume!
Ok so next year will be my senior year in high school. I was a cheerleader in Jr. high, but moved around too much in high school to cheer. I cheered the first semester of my junior year, school squad and competition squad. I really love cheerleading, it's the only thing I really enjoy, that I'm decent at. Like my dad asked me what I want to do in college, all I know is I want to cheer. Well, when I got to my new school I had the chance to try out for cheerleading, but two things stopped me: One, my family was tight on money at the time, and two, I didn't like the image the cheerleaders at the new school put off. So I didn't try out, and I regret it. I miss cheerleading so bad. I really want to start again but I don't know if that's even possible. Like I don't know if there are any competition squads that I could do or if I just need to take tumbling classes until college or what. It's making me super depressed all the time now because I truly love cheerleading. :( What do you think I should do?

I can't do a cart wheel or anything and tryouts are soon. I've only cheered once, and there is a gym near where i live. Is there any hope for me? WHat do I need to do this summer to help me make atleast JV?
