The MUSIC

American Flyer plays music by the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Creedence, Beach Boys, Eagles, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison, Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, Steppenwolf, the Doors, Grand Funk, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Stevie Ray Vaughn and a whole lot more.

The band brings more than 50 years of combined musical experience to the party. From colleges to clubs, from studios to concerts, this group can handle a broad repertoire of music. We guarantee you'll hear something you like!

The SOUND

This band is well-known for being able to play at a volume that is right for the size of the venue. Clubs and bars have marveled that the band is loud enough to hear and dance to, but the patrons don't have to scream at each other to be heard. This seems to be very difficult for most bands to do, but American Flyer pulls it off perfectly.

The BAND

Mark Eggan - Lead & Rhythm Guitar and Vocals
At 16, Mark began playing guitar and soon after formed his first band. Mark played casually until 36, when he began working with the Minnesota-based band "Tour Guides." In 2001, he co-founded "American Flyer" with keyboardist Brad Dronen. Mark's vocal abilities cover an impressive range of styles from early to Country Rock, ballads and Rock & Roll from the 50's and 60's to today. He has an uncanny ability to beautifully adapt his guitar work and sound to each style and genre.

Brad Dronen - Keyboards and Vocals
Brad began playing at age 17 with the Richfield, Minnesota-based band "Echoes of Silence." A professionally-trained keyboardist, Brad played casually until co-founding "American Flyer" with guitarist Mark Eggan in 2001. Brad's energy and flexibility of style show a remarkable natural talent and add a fullness and richness to the band's sound.

Greg Goffinet - Bass and Vocals
Greg has been playing bass since his Junior High School days in Ohio when he gave up playing the saxophone. Within weeks of picking up a bass, he was in his first band. While going to college, Greg played with several bands and toured the upper Midwest. Greg is a lefty and learned to play the bass "backwards" -- but don't tell him he's playing backwards as it will only confuse him and he will turn around. Greg's melodic bass creates the the rhythmic drive for the band's popular country, blues and rock tunes.

Dave Alexander - Drums and Vocals
Dave has been playing drums since he banged on his Mom's pots and pans when he was 5. He got his first drum set when he was 10 and started a garage band called "Boot Hill Express," playing hard rock and 60s pop for the neighborhood kids. He played casually throughout high school and college, sitting in with cover bands as a session player. He joined American Flyer in 2005. Besides a growling voice that lets him sing like Rod Stewart and Dion, Dave lays down the snappy grooves that help create the band's crisp, tight sound.
