"On The Road" by Jack Kerouac - I know everyone says this, but I actually finished the book (along with Kerouac others). "On the Road", "Dharma Bums", and "Big Sur" changed the way I live in the world. Hunter S. Thompson. William Blake. Aldous Huxley (BNW). Stephen King. All Carl Sagan as brain food--Sagan makes you see yourself in the universe. I try to read as much political non-fiction, as possible, in between bouts of nausea while watching CNN.
