All Songs Written by Adam Scott
Influences
In 1997, Ryan contracted a terrible case of influences from a Canadian moose hustler. He was bedridden and bided his time listening to Tori Amos and Joshua Bell. He passed the latent disease to Adam sometime during their 1999 stay with Gary Kasparov in Quito, Ecuador. Adam was hospitalized and injected with 500mgs of Beck and the Zombies. During the second AGD show, Mark shared a beer with Adam, was infected with a mutation of the virus, Jazz Standards Syndrome, and is still in recovery.

While attending the internationally renowned SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music, Dan Romer asked his friend and personal confidant, Adam Scott to play a show with his kickass band Fire Flies at the Scarsdale Teen Center. Unbeknownst to Mr. Romer, Mr. Scott's previous hardcore psychedelic jazz-fusion group had disbanded due to mutual aesthetic differences. Scott hastily formed a new band and composed ten original songs within a week. Thus began the ongoing legacy that is American Graveyard Dance. Although the original members, excluding Scott, would die terrible deaths in a sausage factory fire, they were immediately replaced with the more competent and less deceased Ryan Homsey (piano) and Mark Wixom (upright bass). Together, this trio took Purchase by storm, proving to kids all over the campus that you don't necessarily need drums to dance.
After a slew of successful shows, AGD caught the eye of producer Wil Farr (of Nil and Fire Flies). Farr began recording the band's full length studio album; weeks turned into months, budgets were inflated, and many cigarettes were smoked. As the record neared completion, AGD began to play live again with a more refined and rehearsed act. The result was an unequivocally stronger response and demand for a nonexistent record.
Consumed by the stress of finishing an album, Mark Wixom fled to Germany, Ryan Homsey fled to Adam Scott's basement, and Adam Scott "fled to the bar to drink (himself) into stupidity." Only years later would they reunite to finish the record and track drums with Adam Christgau of Fire Flies, admitting that while one may not need drums to dance, they certainly help. With the record almost complete, AGD has once again come together, right now, to play their high octane live shows and promote their first full length release that, as many have said, fucking rocks.
