About me:
CASTING CALL
for the AMERICAN MONSTERS TV show, which is currently being set up at a major
cable network.
So here's the deal: if you or anyone you know is interested in getting on TV and
going out into the field to hunt some good, old fashioned American monsters,
then you may just be the one we're looking for! We are looking to cast a pair of
20 to 30 somethings, who have a genuine affection for monsters and are
comfortable in front of the camera.
So to get on our radar send us a couple of still photos and a little write up about
you, why you love monsters and what makes you think you'd be good on the
show.

Welcome to AMERICANMONSTERS.COM Myspace profile, your one stop guide to all things cryptozoological. At AMERICANMONSTERS.COM you will find all manner of monsters; from bigfoot to Nessie, from child snatching Thunder birds to scaly humanoids that drag swimmers to their doom, we here at monster headquarters investigate any and all corporeal-fortean phenomenon, with an obvious emphasis on those entities which seem to have a genuine, biological connection to the environments in which they allegedly dwell.
Our intentions here at AMERICAN MONSTERS are simple and clear... we want to know WHAT these animals are, WHERE they live, and WHY it is so difficult to confirm the existence of these rare beasts.
To that end we have spent countless hours researching all of the known facts that we could get our hands on - from archaic bestiaries to modern scholarly work, from eyewitness accounts to old newspapers clippings - all in an attempt to present a clear and concise picture of the animals in question.
We have also sent our researchers to Canada, Europe, South Africa and most recently to the bayous of Mississippi and Louisiana, in order to create a comprehensive series of location reports and documentaries regarding these fascinating, and often misunderstood, "monsters."
It is our hope that this website will stand as a testament to the impressive body of work which has been accumulated by the scientists, cryptozoologists, intrepid investigators, pioneering scholars and amateur researchers, who have dedicated their time, resources and reputations to this quest over the past four centuries. It is to these astounding men and women - who have braved the elements with fortitude, faced the unknown with courage, and who, perhaps most significantly, have suffered derision with dignity - that we dedicate our efforts.
Now is time for the fringe-fauna of this planet to be pulled from the murky shadows of legend and myth, and begin that arduous ascent up the crumbling monolith of mainstream science.
Now is time for scientists and scholars to put aside their fear of ridicule and start looking at our vast (and oft times incomprehensible) world with fresh eyes. To stop protecting their cherished academic tenets with a shield emblazoned with the words: "It cannot be," and begin to look at around at what truly... inevitably..."is."
Now is time for the dreamers to ground themselves. To begin to understand the importance of scientific protocol. To learn the rules before they ridicule them. And - most consequentially - to remember that it is the true believer who, more than anyone else, needs to maintain a skeptical eye.
Now is the time for the Earth's last,
great mystery to be revealed.
