If you want to talk about great food, you've come to the right place! I have been cooking and baking, pretty much, all of my life, that includes the Easter bunny cake I made when I was ten years old (it was really, pretty good!)I wonder if my mother still has the photo of it....hmmmm. ....................................................... ....................................................... I opened my first restaurant when I was 19 years old in Northern Maine, I was motivated, what can I say! I then proceeded to catering, more restaurants and catering, a banquet hall and restaurant at a country club and even manufactured and sold gourmet frozen seafood nationally and to major restaurant and grocery suppliers (like Sysco, Sexton and Giant to name a few) Even had one account internationally in Taiwan (that was interesting!) ........................................................ ........................................................ Needless to say there was a bit of hustle and a pinch of bustle to my life. But with all of that, it has brought me here and now I get to write about it all....how cool is that?! ......................................................... ......................................................... I love to share what I've worked for and what I've learned over the years and I still strive to learn the millions of bits of knowledge that are still to be attained and feel free to share your knowledge here as well! It all starts with boiling water, now doesn't it?! ......................................................... ......................................................... I am a big believer in having fun and enjoying cooking and baking. The kitchen is the center and gathering place of a home and if you can't enjoy it, why do it. I always attempt to cover a large variety of food dishes and desserts to suit anyone's style of cooking and baking. So there should always be a little something for everyone :) And I love questions...hey...that's how we all learn! .......................................................... .......................................................... If it's apparent that I LOVE chocolate....ya think?! But contrary to appearances it's not the mainstay of my diet. Although (isn't there always a but?!) for those of you that love chocolate, we can be healthy and pretty guilt free with that little piece of dark chocolate after our meals.....I mean really, it has good fat AND great antioxidant value....life is good :)
