Following those that have blurred the lines between country and rock, like Gram Parsons and Emmylou, American Rose is carving out their own style of country music. American Rose is the duo of Ryan Mims and Penny Dale, two one-of-a-kind voices and earthy, organic harmonies. Combine that with authenticity, great songs and star power... and you get the propelling force behind the duo. Only forming in the last year, Penny and Ryan had been part of a vocal group garnering attention in Nashville and opening for major acts (Jason Aldean in March). "We want to create something real, that moves people, and we hope you can feel that in our music", says Penny Dale, a Georgia native, who's earliest influences were Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles, getting into country music later with everything from Hal Ketchum to the Dixie Chicks. Ryan Mims from Clanton, Alabama, grew up on traditional country, but was influenced by all genres of music from Roy Orbison to the Beatles, which you can hear in his pure tone.
