    American Standard is comprised of two cantankerous old rock 'n' roll bastards who are "real deal" veterans of this notorious business, namely 47-year-old Brynn Arens, guitars, and 54-year-old Brad Sinsel, lead vocals, legend at the mic for TKO, the biggest stadium rock band that never were. These two consummate tunesmiths have written songs together as they always have regardless of trend, fashion or age. "The real deal, you ask? Fucking right!" as Brad sez. "When Brynn hits you across the face with his guitar, you won't even know how old YOU are! (laughs)." "We kind of consider ourselves 'alternative,'" adds Brynn. "As in there is only one alternative to getting older…. basically, we will keep on rockin' if that's OK with you (laughs). I like to think of myself as a 1958 Les Paul. Every year it keeps on sounding just a little bit better." "Like a fine Merlot," adds Sinsel as he pours himself a glass. "This not a reunion gig; this is not a game show. Like I say, this is the real deal. I have lived every word I sing and I fucking mean it." The new classic rock? Maybe. Old or young, American Standard means business. They may joke around regarding their age, but when I watched as they performed it was no joke. Loud? Um, yeah - my eyes couldn't believe my ears. They sounded great and I mean really fucking great. I was proud to be at this very private performance. It's very cool to see that a certain old school rock 'n' roll fire can still burn this hot and brightly… Martin Popoff. ..
