Still Love CRASS, but, We’ve been greatly influenced by bands like Decendents, Pennywise, Bad Religion, NOFX, NUFAN, D.T.’s, Rancid, among other more hardcore stinkfisters like G.G. Allin. Shock Rockers like GWAR and sheite. Some music that has influenced our sound is, The Clash, The Ramones, Youth Brigade, The Misfits, Patrick Ryan Bauer, Strung Out, Dropkick Murphys and more. Amerikan Junk been an active band since 98. Been screwin' up shows, bedrooms, and bathrooms ever since. We really like to have a rockin' good time. In these last few months since the addition of yet another new bassist, we've come a long way. We've set our sights even higher and are shooting to produce and record the best songs ever heard by Amerikan Junk fans all over the world. We've employed a new recording engineer and he's gonna record the gold. Keep an open eye on this space to see what will happen next. I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
