Sounds Like
An acoustic act drawing substantial influence from the roots and folk traditions and styles. However, one that’s not worried about using some effects! The sound is greatly enhanced by the inclusion of Drew. At that point the sound goes in a whole different direction. We are constantly evolving and developing our "sound" but until that happens be prepared for anything!
Many things have changed since the initial incarnation of this acoustic act at a small festival in Murray, Kentucky. After recording my first track "Falling Slowly" and dubbing the project Ameri-Kinda, the band grew in small steps. With the addition of Drew Bugg as a semi-constant member and extremely inspirational figure we have been able to explore more complex directions. Then when Ameri-kinda looked promising the project was shelved. I graduated college and moved west to Colorado to try my hand working in the music business. While Drew was blessed with a beautiful baby girl (Lilly) and loving wife (Shannon) in New Jersey. Separated by thousands of miles - our rehearsal opportunities are slim. In turn, most of the music currently listed on the page was written by myself and performed solo in front of my computer.
Great News Everyone! As of Dec. 1st 2007, Drew and Shannon Bugg have officially moved to Boulder, CO! That's right- we're getting the band back together. In the few days they've been here, Drew and I have already started working out some of the old tunes and even a couple of new ones- really exciting. During the hiatus Drew had been working on some new tools and has vastly expanded his prowess with stringed instruments! So be prepared to hear some more sounds in the next round of tunes. We look forward to rehearsal and recording some new stuff very soon. We'll keep you posted!

Yeah I decided to skip out on k-town this year and went down to Long Beach to party with friends from the burn for NYE. There's not a whole lot new as school is getting pretty intense again. I did go to Eugene for a suspension gathering yesterday. Should have pics up by the end of the week. Keep it real.
