OKAY known to his family as Jason Litten was born in the small town of Brentwood MD. On the outskirts of a city known for one thing politics rather it be in the House or Senate or out in the city streets. It wouldn't be long before this same way of thinking would spill over into the adjacent county. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This story begins in a small apt. on 38th street with a small child and two loving parents Jim and Barbara. Jim was a master plumber and worked long hours in the field while Barbara spent her time talking and reading to Jason. Many accredit this quality time between mother and child to be the reason for OKAYS phenomenal creative abilities. At the tender age of two OKAY was forced to cope with the harsh reality of life when he lost his father to a busted blood clot in the brain. His mother was then torn away from him by the ever growing female workforce. Things would never be the same again. A few years later she was remarried and her and OKAY moved to a house a few blocks down the street on 40th pl. In a time of economic turmoil this once friendly town became ravished with drugs, prostitution, and violence. It wasn’t long after the one time actor Ronald Regan became acting president that OKAYS street became a WARZONE. Finally after years of being terrorized by the thoughts of being murdered in front of there own doorstep or losing there son to the senseless gun violence that was an everyday occurrence on the 40. OKAY’s parents decided to sell there home and move to there dream house. It was then that he was introduced to a whole different way of living. He was now considered Middle Class and along with the title came a whole new world of friends. OKAY was very a likable person and he soon merged his old friends with his new. Everything seemed to be going as planned. It was only two years into his new life that his mother and stepfather decided to call the quits due to irreconcilable differences. OKAY’s life was yet again on the verge of change. It was at this time that OKAY and his Mother moved to a small townhouse on the other-side of town. OKAY was now approaching manhood at the age of 16 he decided to rebel against his mother by dropping out of school and moving back to his old neighborhood with his life long friends. This was when it all began OKAY had been scribbling rhymes in his note pad for years alongside his friend Reggie but it wasn’t until his short stint in his old hood that he actually gained the confidence and was hailed for his lyrical ability. OKAY would freestyle for hour upon hours at parties and friendly gatherings. It was then that word began to spread throughout the neighborhood of his skill. That next year, out of luv and respect for his mama he went to back to school. It was in this special school for people that needed a second chance that he began meeting more people like himself, so talented but still so troubled. That next year he did the impossible; he graduated high school, and made his mama proud. Now with a new found confidence he began his new conquest. That brings us to today OKAY has had been recording and performing for nearly a decade and is revered as one of the nicest all around MCs in the DMV. It is for this reason that he has been proclaimed the L.O.P.G. Lord Of PrinceGeorge......... .. ..When asked what his music brings to Hip-Hop he replies with only one word; “LIFE”............. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... .......... ....RENO:...... .... .. ..It was the early eighties a time of musical reinvention. Conventional music was a thing of the past. The soulful music that once dominated the nation was now traded for fast paced rhythms and synthesized vocals. It was then in that time of musical uncertainty that there was a blessed birth. A child, a baby boy as soulful as the music his parents would listen to on Sunday afternoons. It was in the small town of Mullins, South Carolina that Dequavis Witherspoon was brought into the world. It wouldn’t be long before they would trade in their lazy country days for the hustle and bustle of the big city. Approximately five years after his birth his father decided to follow his never ending quest for knowledge to the capital of the USA. It was then in the mid-eighties that he arrived in the place he now calls home the Washington Metropolitan area (DMV). Quavis grew up the same as any other kid in area, but his love of music was unrivaled. At night he would turn on his radio and mummies his favorite artist. As a turn music lover he had a very eclectic ear. Listening to artist ranging from R&B greats Brian McKnight, R. Kelly, Boy II Men, and Jodeci, rock super groups like Aerosmith and Guns and Roses, and last but not least legendary soulsters Stevie Wonder, Mervin Gaye, Ray Charles, and Sam Cooke. It wasn’t until age 18 that he identified the huge voice that lied deep with his compact frame. That’s where it all comes from the name Reno what was once known as the biggest little city in America, is now known as biggest voice to come from this little dude. When asked what he wants from the business he doesn’t respond money or fame he just humbly says for people to feel my music. .......... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ....................
