Music
I don't want to list a bunch of stuff so I'll stick to generalized genres.
I like a lot of old music. I feel like I have so much music to catch up on. Like 1920's swing and old country, blues, big band and rock n' roll.
Right now I listen to mostly old and new rockabilly, old blues, old country, big band and swing, new noisey blues and sometimes mellow electronic stuff.
I also like old school punk and psychobilly. I have appreciation for any instrument played really well from blues to classical. I like a variety of music depending on when and where I am. There's fun music, driving music, winter music, etc. I like rockabilly for it's sound and nostalgia - derivative of Americana roots, punk because of it's craziness. The darker stuff I may listen to might be like Fantomas.
And I have my days where I like funky melodramatic stuff like Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Elbow and Cat Power.

Heyo, girl from Winnipeg here.
I am a writer, journalist, photojournalist and radio producer/host. I do the weekend morning show on CJOB 680 in Winnipeg and I'm a reporter/photographer for the Selkirk Journal and have freelanced with other newspapers and magazines (The Nerve, Winnipeg Free Press, Tattoo Life Canadian Edition).
Now for fun: I love music and going to see bands play. I play guitar and bass but am not that great. I LOVE travelling, especially roadtrips, and meeting people. I like people watching and nature watching. I like the ocean, summer and CAMPING. I like impromptu fun and good company. I appreciate time out for a beer and try to take things one moment at a time, but not in that fall-between-the-cracks way. I am very motivated and always busy because, hell, there's so much to do and so little time.
Who I'd like to meet: People who seem interesting (not to be mistaken with totally crazy) but I haven't had the chance to talk to yet? People who I may have something in common with? I don't know.
If you like music, videos, etc and like to have the ability to copy your products, use the net without government assistance, etc.

The government of canada (conservative party) has introduced draconian legislation which is going to negatively affect canadians who enjoy current RIGHTS, to download, rip, and copy music.
Only vocal protest can stop this!

Jacob and I have been trolling country junk yards for parts and cars lately. I bought a pretty sweet '66 Parisienne in Gull Lake this week, it's pretty dope!!! Decent interior, good engine and safetied! Come and check it out!
Ha! The boar was glorious! I just went to Prague for 3 weeks. It was pretty awesome - highly recomend it. Picked me up an old commy sailors/navy issue belt buckle too which is also pretty rad. It's a city you should see someday - for sure

Jacob and I were this close (| |) to buying tickets today, but didn't because we don't have passports yet, and don't know how long it should take. It looks like we'll be leaving either october first, or october 15'th.
