Amie has performed internationally with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Ensemble 21, Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and the Knights Chamber Orchestra. She has played with singer/songwriter Teddy Thompson around NYC as well as on the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brian. She regularly performs with the Allsar Quartet, Quartet T, Columbia Composers, Bargemusic, ((of;`~ether)), and others.
Amie has given regional or world premieres by numerous composers including Meredith Monk, Brian Ferneyhough, Jonny Greenwood, Alvin Lucier, Kevin Volans, and James Dillon. In improvisational contexts, she has played with the NY Soundpainting Orchestra, Eunoia, Information Night, and Imaginary Folk; as well as studying Indian classical music with sitarist Hasu Patel. She participated in the 2004 Carnegie Hall Professional Training Workshop with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, focused on music from Southeast, Central, and West Asia. Amie graduated from Oberlin Conservatory as a student of Milan Vitek, and on baroque violin, Marilyn McDonald.
She teaches at the 92nd St Y in Manhattan and privately.
