Amigas Latinas began in July of 1995 as a small group of 10 Latina women that reunite to socialize, strategize and talk in a safe environment about the need for a Latina lesbian, bisexual and questioning women group. There was a need and there is still the need for Amigas. Since that first meeting, the amount of people that receive our newsletter has grown to over 250 women of Latina heritage from Latin America. Amigas Latinas offers a safe environment to discuss and define our perceptions and those of the societies we live in, about who we are as women loving women.

All social events are open to everyone; some programs may be limited to particular populations.
