Amigazo began when some guys got together and started playing music in 2001 in Boston. That's the truth and the details aren't very interesting, but here goes. Jorge, ex-Innerpink member, had played with Richie Lynch back in college. Jorge wanted to front his own band and he recruited Richie and later, Bruno, who the two had met through some friends. One drummer and a full CD and a half worth of material later, the band decided to change directions. They then recruited long-time friend and hard-hitting drummer from Sugabomb, Dave LoMonaco to play drums. Then they asked themselves a simple question, "What do you want to do?"
The answer was simple. They wanted to rock and rock hard. Bruno and Dave soon came forth with some song ideas they had been working on and everyone quickly joined in the creative process. You probably already know what the band sounds like by now, but others have said they hear the influences of: Early Metallica, Bad Brains, Kiss, Black Sabbath and Monster Magnet.
