Gelaz aka Vitaly Galuza is a DJ, producer and promoter from the center of Belarus. As a DJ he started mixing tunes when he a teenager having been influenced at the time by such bands as Prodigy, Chrystal Method and Fatboy Slim and he loved music with energy from the offset.
Vitaly’s history as a producer also started in his teens when he used to experiment a lot with mixing different sounds using modified domestic audio equipment. A result was a writing of hip-hop and old school breakbeat tracks, vocally wired for a sound like-minded persons.
In 2005 Vitaly found his own style in the Nu Skool Breaks scene and put his Djing on hold touring on all of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, playing with such artists as Aphrodite (UK), The Magnet Men (UK), Equalizers (UK), 4kuba (BY), Lady Waks (RU), Rasco (SP), Halobeatz (DE), etc.. Many of these artists played on parties which Vitaly promoting by himself as member of belarussian promo campaign «night people group».
During all this time he built up his production skills and engineering knowledge working with several other producers, taking experience and building up a studio. Finally 2009 set to be a good year for Gelaz with his first official Halobeatz remix, which was on the tops of sales in best online shops.
Now Vitaly working on the own project about breaks music www.breakbeat.by, djing by a weekends, and at the same time preparing new tracks to be released on different labels.
