Mikaela is a multi-talented singer-songwriter with a broad, colorful range from soprano to alto which transfers over to many genres. She began singing at the tender age of four, singing in her church choir. As a gifted young musician, she performed in many productions including Northwestern Univerity's Waa Mu show at the age of 11. It was then that she realized that God had given her a gift and passion for music. It was at this time that she also began composing her own music as well. She became a staple soloist at school and held many lead roles in the musicals and plays at her school. She was a part of many choirs growing up including her grade school choir, Evanston Township High School Choir, Show Choir and the world renowned Chicago Children's Choir. She was a signature singer with the nationally known University of Illinois Black Chorus. Singing in the languages of German, French, and Italian, her experience with music also ranges from many genres including Opera, Jazz, Soul/R&B, and Musical Theater. A recent graduate from the University of Illinois, she attains a bachelor degree in Vocal Performance. Mikaela is currently on the National Tour of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar starring the Jesus from the original motion picture of Jesus Christ Superstar, Ted Neeley.
