How does the contest work?
Simple. Send the mp3 that you feel best represents your band to genderblender@buzznews.net before April 25th. Be sure to include your phone number and name. Once we receive your email, we will contact your for the $25.00 entry/processing fee. With that fee your band will be listed on our website and magazine with your band name and web address. Our 3 judges will then determine who will make the top 15 semi-finalists. The 15 finalists will be posted in a poll on www,buzznews.net on May 1st in which fans will vote for their favorite band (one vote per IP address). The 5 bands with the most votes by May 17th at 10pm will move to the finals. The finals will be held at The Colloseum 19081 Old LaGrange Road, Mokena on Sunday May 27th in a live battle and fan applause will determine the winner.
