My vocal influences were mostly old school though, all the stuff my parents listened to: Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Roberta Flack, Bono of U2, Commodores, Marvin Gaye, Teddy P, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Peobo Bryson, George Benson & Sam Cooke.
AMIR's distinctive voice, engaging lyrics, and funky beats are guaranteed to move you. His gift as a singer is matched by his genius as a songwriter. With more than 25 pop/r&b/soul songs written and composed, under his publishing company AMIR, Inc., AMIR's thought provoking lyrics and original sounds have been moving audiences across the country. As a shorty, AMIR found his passion, winning many Chicago talent shows & two Illinois Youth Music scholarships.
